CHINOOK SPA ENVIRONMENT POLICY
Chinook S.p.A, a company producing reciprocating and screw air compressors for private and industrial use, are aware of the need to protect the environment and stay in line with sustainable development principles. They are committed to defining and maintaining a documented environment management system aimed at ensuring constant improvement of their own environmental performance as well as meeting all the pertinent regulations applicable to their activities.

The company intends to follow these principles for their activities:

• economise energy and resource consumption
• reduce the amount of waste produced and optimise its disposal.
• adopt all the measures needed to contain emergency situations and any subsequent impact on the environment.
• offer environmentally friendly products by applying the best technologies, if economically justifiable.

In order to ensure that these principles are respected, the company intends to:

• adopt a preventative approach when managing environmental problems by assessing the environmental impact of new plants, substances and the materials before using them.
• periodically test the efficiency of the environment management system used by checking whether the goals and aims attained have been achieved.
• inform all personnel working in the organization or on its behalf, of this policy and the applicable elements of the system to ensure that they apply them in their work.
• to contribute to spreading environmental awareness by informing the public and the concerned parties of this policy and the environmental performance of the company and products.

Every employee has to feel responsible that these principles are being implemented and the goals achieved. This has to be an integral part of all their activities. The managers will act as role models and, every one in their sphere of responsibility ensure the coherence and safeguarding of this policy.
